This Crystal River, Florida elopement was the first elopement I ever photographed! We met on the beach at sunrise to catch the golden light. Crystal River, Florida has a man-made beach called Fort Island Trail Beach.
I love this beach so much! At one end of the beach you have an area that screams the word everglades. This is the true Florida in my opinion (born and mostly raised here). We started off capturing some golden light and silhouette in this everglades area.
On the other side of the beach you have a rocky oyster bar area. Its incredibly beautiful. However, I don’t ever recommend going barefoot in this area! I’ve made this mistake quite a few times and my feet have paid the price. Needless to say, oyster bars are sharp and not fun for bare-feet.
After our little sunrise session, we were supposed to hug and say our goodbyes, but plans changed! These two babes invited me to meet up with them again in the evening to celebrate and grab some more photos!
We met back up on their family’s farm so that we could snag a few family photos. We also threw up some confetti and they introduced me to some of the friendly animal faces around the farm. My favorite was when we passed the chicken house. You’ll notice from the last image why this chicken house resonated SO much with me! It’s too funny.
